MICHAEL (MIKE) HOGLUND, P.E., ASSOCIATE
Mike joined TCE in 1999 as a project manager. His expertise includes specification preparation for various project components such as facade restoration, balcony rehabilitation, window replacement, and garage/waterproofing restoration. Mike's commitment to excellence has recently earned him the distinction of Associate.
He has managed design teams for approximately $4 million in restoration for three projects at the same location which involved structural and geotechnical design of new structures and rehabilitation of existing structures. He also managed a high-rise office building construction project, bringing it to completion two months ahead of schedule and $2 million under budget.
Mike has diligently performed detailed investigations of sites within budget and schedule requirements, for purposes of structure waterproofing and cosmetic/structural repairs. Projects have included high-rise office, hotel, apartment buildings and complexes, and condominiums.
His designs have included remedial facade repairs involving steel lintels, epoxy pinning, and coping and facade elements' stabilization. He has also designed repairs for deteriorated concrete, failed waterproofing and facade elements. Additionally, Michael has economically designed concrete formwork for bridge abutment retaining wall, cantilever stairs, and subway tunnel safety walk.
