Michael Tabassi

Michael joined Tadjer-Cohen-Edelson Associates, Inc. in 1984 and is a principal with the firm. He has designed repairs for many millions of square feet of garage space, thousands of balconies and hundreds of facades. Michael has designed repairs, restorations, and renovations for many building envelopes. His repairs have included masonry facades, waterproofing, expansion joint repairs, balcony and exterior concrete repairs, garage and corrosion damage repairs, roof repair and replacement, and window and door design and replacement. In addition to the repairs and restorations, he conducts condition surveys for the determination of repairs, including reserve replacements and cost estimating.

Michael served as president of the Baltimore-Washington DC Chapter of the International Concrete Repair Institute (ICRI) and as a member of ICRI’s National Technical Activities Committee which reviews and approves all technical information published by ICRI National. He has authored many articles in repair and restoration of structures. As Chairman of the ICRI Masonry Facade Evaluation Committee, the 'Guidelines for Evaluation & Diagnosis of Masonry Facade Components and Systems' was completed. Michael was also involved in preparing the 'Guidelines for Evaluation of Post-Tensioned Structures' and chaired the committee responsible for preparing the 'Guidelines for Repair of Post-Tensioned Structures'. He is currently chairing the ICRI committee in charge of producing 'Guidelines for Repair of MSY Facade Structures'. Michael was recently elected an ICRI Fellow by the national organization.
