REPAIR & RESTORATION
1-16-08019004.gif
In the late 1970's with the company strongly rooted and a prominent entity in the Washington, DC metropolitan area, TCE began to explore the ever-growing need for repair design and construction due to rapidly deteriorating structures; once the hallmarks of society. To address this need for modernization, preservation and renovation of these fine buildings, TCE developed its Repair & Restoration Division which is directed and guided by Rick Edelson and Michael Tabassi. TCE is now the largest renovation company in the metropolitan Washington DC area.

Each project is overseen by a principal of the company from the project's conception throughout it's completion. TCE's team is involved with all aspects of the project including conducting forensic investigation and analysis, developing cost estimates and preliminary repair solutions, design and development of project specifications, bidding services and evaluation, onsite inspections of repairs, daily coordination and communication with the full project team. TCE conducts regular progress meetings which result in resolution of technical and non-technical issues, updating team members, and assuring overall project success.

TCE's approach to each project is to provide econominal construction to meet our clients' needs by utilizing the most up-to-date technology and construction methods. Members of TCE's staff are very instrumental in authoring the technical guidelines for the International Concrete Repair Institute. Bidding on TCE projects often produces lower prices for repairs and restorations, and we work with some of the most knowledgeable and reputable contractors in the region; many of whom are listed among ENR's Top 600 Specialty Contractors. TCE directs the contractor during construction, not only as related to the technical aspects of the work, but also in such aspects as site security, vehicular and pedestrian traffic patterns, sensitive and restricted building areas, and environmental issues. TCE judges a successful repair project based on the proper technical completion of the work, and that the project was completed in a manner that was safe, timely, and environmentally sensitive, imposing only minimal disturbance to the building's owner and occupants.
